About the position

The Cybersecurity Futures Analyst position at Offutt AFB, NE, involves providing Advisory and Assistance Support (A&AS) to the NC3 Enterprise Center. The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and manage NC3 operations, ensuring enterprise-wide visibility and assessing both operational and technical risks. The analyst will actively engage with NC3 Enterprise Stakeholders to develop, present, and advocate for future capabilities, risk management options, and prioritization recommendations to high-level officials, including the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) and the Deputy Secretary of Defense (DepSecDef). This position requires a deep understanding of systems analysis, systems engineering, technical analysis, solution integration, operations assessment, and risk management, all of which are critical to supporting the mission of CDRUSSTRATCOM in planning and executing Strategic Deterrence and NC3 operations as outlined in the National Defense Strategy. The focus of this task order is to leverage subject matter expertise in various areas, including conducting comprehensive systems analysis, identifying future threats to cybersecurity, and forecasting their long-term implications. The analyst will be responsible for producing finished assessments, both open-source and classified, and will need to perform complex search queries in relevant databases to facilitate research and analysis. Maintaining the currency of research stores and ensuring the accuracy of information is paramount in this role. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cybersecurity, particularly in researching and analyzing future threats, and will be expected to work independently while contributing to a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Advisory and Assistance Support (A&AS) to the NC3 Enterprise Center.
  • Oversee and manage NC3 operations, maintaining enterprise-wide visibility.
  • Assess comprehensive operational and technical risk.
  • Develop, present, and advocate future capabilities and risk management options to high-level officials.
  • Conduct systems analysis, systems engineering, and technical analysis.
  • Perform operations assessment and operations analysis related to NC3 operations.
  • Identify future concepts and architectures to support strategic deterrence.
  • Produce finished open-source or classified assessments independently.
  • Perform complex search queries in open-source or classified databases and organize results for analysis.

Requirements

  • Over 10 years of experience in cybersecurity and systems engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience producing finished assessments independently.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience performing complex search queries in databases.
  • Experience in researching, identifying, analyzing, and characterizing future threats to computer network and system security.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with intelligence assessments and technology identification.
  • Familiarity with risk management and requirements advocacy.
