About the position

The Garrett Group (TGG) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Futures Analyst to support the USSTRATCOM NC3 Enterprise Center (NEC) mission. This full-time position is critical for assessing adversary threats and capabilities that impact USSTRATCOM's Indications and Warning (I&W), Space/Counterspace, Electronic Warfare (EW) requirements, and overall situational awareness regarding NC3 threats. The anticipated start date for this role is December 1, 2022. In this role, the Cybersecurity Futures Analyst will be responsible for conducting all-source analytic assessments of current and future cybersecurity threats to NC3 operations, systems, networks, and infrastructure. The analyst will assist in identifying adversaries' cyberspace intent, capabilities, plans, and threat vectors across multiple domains. Additionally, the analyst will perform detailed technical assessments of potential cyberspace threats to specific aspects of the U.S. NC3 kill chain and the five mission-essential NC3 functions. This position requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity implications and the ability to forecast long-term threats to ensure the integrity and security of critical NC3 enterprise architecture layers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in researching, identifying, and analyzing future threats to computer networks and systems, as well as producing finished assessments independently. The role demands a proactive approach to maintaining the currency of research stores and organizing results to facilitate comprehensive analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the government in completing all-source analytic assessments of current and long-term future cybersecurity threats to NC3 operations, objects, systems, networks, programs, and their sources of infrastructure, intelligence, and industrial support.
  • Identify specific adversaries' cyberspace intent, capabilities, plans, employment strategies, and threat vectors across multiple domains.
  • Perform detailed technical assessments of potential cyberspace threats to specific aspects of the U.S. NC3 kill chain and the five mission-essential NC3 functions.

Requirements

  • Over ten years of experience researching, identifying, analyzing, and characterizing future threats to computer network and system security and forecasting their long-term cybersecurity implications.
  • At least 3 years' experience producing finished open-source or classified assessments and performing this function independently.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience performing complex search queries in open source or classified databases, organizing the results to facilitate research and analysis, and maintaining the currency of research stores.
