About the position

Link Technologies, a prominent IT consulting firm based in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Cybersecurity Incident Response Specialist to join our team in Henderson, NV. This role is critical in enhancing our cybersecurity posture by focusing on incident response strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cybersecurity incident response, with a particular emphasis on updating and modernizing response plans. This position involves developing and delivering training programs tailored for both technical and non-technical team members, ensuring that all staff are well-prepared to handle cybersecurity incidents effectively. Additionally, the specialist will be responsible for designing and facilitating incident response exercises to test and improve our response capabilities. The Cybersecurity Incident Response Specialist will work closely with various teams to ensure that our incident response plans are not only current but also effective in addressing the evolving threat landscape. This role requires a proactive approach, as the specialist will need to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes to our incident response strategies. The successful candidate will also be expected to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing clear guidance and support during incident response activities. This position is a contract role, offering a competitive salary range of $83.5K to $106K annually, and is scheduled for Monday to Friday work hours.

Responsibilities

  • Update and modernize cybersecurity incident response plans.
  • Develop and deliver training for incident response team members.
  • Design and facilitate incident response exercises.
  • Coordinate and present incident response exercises to various stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members regarding incident response protocols.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Cyber Incident Response (IR).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in creating and updating Cyber Security Incident Response Plans.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in developing and delivering IR team training.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in planning, coordinating, and presenting IR exercises.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written) and excellent organizational abilities.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently when provided with clear objectives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with direct IR experience (beyond just planning and exercises).
