About the position

AUSGAR Technologies is seeking a Cybersecurity/Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support the execution of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ensure compliance with federal security regulations. The role involves conducting security assessments, managing vulnerabilities, and maintaining policy documents to enhance cybersecurity measures within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ensure compliance with FISMA.
  • Conduct security assessments using DISA STIGs, SRGs, and SCAP.
  • Audit and securely configure network-enabled devices, operating systems, web services, databases, and VMWare.
  • Use vulnerability testing/scanning tools to identify vulnerabilities in security systems.
  • Develop mitigations and write mitigation statements for ongoing vulnerabilities.
  • Author and maintain policy documents in support of RMF and vulnerability management.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance upon hire.
  • DoD 8140 IAM/IAT Level II certification upon hire.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field.
  • 5+ years of applicable experience in cybersecurity.
  • Experience with eMass or XACTA.
  • Experience developing RMF packages.
  • Experience with VM environments.
  • IATT/ATO submission experience.
  • Knowledge of NISPOM, DCSA A&A Process Manual, JSIG, ICD 703, STIGs, RMF process, and NIST publications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Familiarity with Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP).
