About the position

The Cybersecurity Instructional Designer at Cybervance is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the creation of innovative training courses focused on IT, cybersecurity, and digital forensics. This role emphasizes ensuring accessibility compliance and involves collaboration with subject matter experts and graphic designers to produce effective, learner-centered training programs. The designer will manage multiple projects related to course creation and deployment, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop eLearning courses using instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create ILT/VILT/eLearning course materials, storyboards, prototypes, and final products.
  • Manage multimedia content creation, including interactive modules, audio, and graphics for training programs.
  • Ensure learning materials meet accessibility standards, such as Section 508 compliance and WCAG.
  • Provide project management support, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Create fillable PDF forms and other interactive learning materials as needed.
  • Maintain familiarity with Learning Management System (LMS) platforms to support course deployment and content management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design and eLearning content development.
  • Proficiency in eLearning development tools such as Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate, and SCORM/xAPI.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms such as Blackboard Ultra.
  • Strong skills in graphic design tools like Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of accessibility compliance standards.
  • Strong background in cybersecurity with relevant certifications preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with web accessibility standards.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of digital forensics.
