About the position

The Cybersecurity Intern will join the Cyber Fusion Center (CFC) team at BD, assisting in various cybersecurity activities including threat hunting and incident response. This role is designed for individuals pursuing a degree in a related field, providing hands-on experience in cybersecurity within a supportive and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring and analyzing security events and incidents.
• Participate in threat hunting activities to identify potential security threats.
• Support incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, and remediation.
• Conduct research on emerging cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of security operations policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve security posture and incident response capabilities.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of network protocols and security architectures.
• Previous internship or project experience in cybersecurity.
