The Cybersecurity Lead Engineer is a pivotal member of a global team of security engineers, architects, and practitioners dedicated to enabling business growth while ensuring secure access to information, data, and services. This role is designed for a professional with a comprehensive understanding of IT and IT security, covering various environments such as network, server, endpoint, cloud, and operational technology (OT). The primary objective is to integrate security into all components of the organization's infrastructure, adhering to established standards and risk frameworks. The position demands in-depth expertise in at least three specific technologies or capability areas, emphasizing the importance of a well-rounded skill set in cybersecurity. In this role, the Cybersecurity Lead Engineer will be responsible for implementing and configuring security products and solutions in an agile manner, balancing risk, functionality, and speed to meet organizational requirements. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Engineering and Technology, this position will function as both a security architect and engineer, collaborating with junior engineers, analysts, and service providers to support, maintain, and operate security technologies effectively. The responsibilities encompass a wide range of activities, including monitoring and controlling security service delivery, providing post-implementation support, designing and maintaining core cybersecurity capabilities, identifying potential threats, and ensuring compliance with security requirements. The role also involves leading projects across various technology areas, developing IT security strategic plans, and providing informal technical support and training to less experienced team members.
