About the position

The Cybersecurity/NERC CIP Consultant role at Guidehouse involves supporting the State & Local Government practice by leveraging technology to drive transformational change in cybersecurity. The consultant will be responsible for client management, solution implementation, and delivering project results, focusing on enhancing cybersecurity strategies and operating plans for government entities.

Responsibilities

  • Connect Guidehouse consulting solutions to solve client problems.
  • Leverage industry connections to foster client and firm success.
  • Lead and support workstreams that enable the assessment, development, and enhancement of cybersecurity strategies.
  • Manage IT strategy and implementation projects, cybersecurity and data protection strategy projects, and technology risk assessments.
  • Engage in practice development activities including creating new service offerings and authoring thought leadership.
  • Communicate solutions and new strategies to clients through meetings, reports, and presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree AND 3-7 years of Cybersecurity related industry experience with at least 2+ years in State & Local Government sector; OR High School Diploma AND 7-11 years of Cybersecurity related industry experience with at least 2+ years in State & Local Government sector.
  • Experience leading multiple, cross-functional and global IT projects and implementations.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate how leading technologies can solve business challenges.
  • Familiarity with leading cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Experience in Application security, Network Security, Cloud security, Cybersecurity risk assessment, and incident response.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or Master's degree in cybersecurity, risk management, or related discipline.
  • Experience in managing client needs in technology solution development and program management.
  • Knowledge of state and local government sectors including Education, Housing, and Transportation.
  • Experience in IT implementation skills with large-scale technology transformation programs.
  • Additional certifications or credentials in related technologies or frameworks.
