About The Position
The Cybersecurity Operations Center Analyst is a critical role within our 24x7x365 Security Operations Center (SOC), responsible for monitoring enterprise systems and performing incident response. This position requires a shift-based, on-call commitment, working alongside a skilled cybersecurity team to protect enterprise resources. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on background in cybersecurity, strong communication skills, and a keen aptitude for learning and problem-solving. Self-motivation and a desire to learn are essential characteristics for success in this role. In this position, you will engage in eyes-on-glass monitoring, researching, classifying, and analyzing security events across both cloud and on-premises environments. Your responsibilities will include assessing security events, following established procedures for triage, investigation, and response, and participating in broader projects such as automation development and process improvement. You will work with experienced cybersecurity leads and utilize modern technology to detect, analyze, and respond to alerts and cybersecurity events. This role is remote and supports the SOC's shift from 12pm to 8:30pm Eastern Standard Time. As a Cybersecurity Operations Center Analyst, you will maintain records of security monitoring and incident response activities, evaluate and deconstruct phishing pages and malware, and provide operational support for cybersecurity processes and controls. You will also prepare briefings and reports, create and maintain standard operating procedures, and generate end-of-shift reports for knowledge transfer to subsequent analysts. This position may involve providing guidance to junior employees and participating in design and technology configuration meetings.
