About the position

As a Cybersecurity PAM Technical Analyst II at Banner Health, you will play a crucial role in the Enterprise-wide Cybersecurity Engineering team, focusing on Privileged Account Management (PAM). This position involves the planning, implementation, and support of the Enterprise PAM System Platform, which is essential for maintaining the security of privileged accounts across a multi-state enterprise environment. You will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of the PAM platform, ensuring that it meets the organization's security needs and adheres to best practices. In this impactful role, you will leverage your 2-3 years of PAM solution experience, ideally with CyberArk PSM and SecureLink, or other PAM solutions such as BeyondTrust Password Safe, Thycotic Privilege Manager, or Centrify Privileged Access Service. A solid understanding of PAM best practices is necessary to drive the maturity and adoption of the platform throughout the enterprise. You will also be involved in onboarding user accounts for various systems, including Windows, Unix, Linux, network devices, databases, and cloud environments. Your experience in implementing and integrating Identity Management (IDM), Active Directory (AD), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Mainframe IAM tools will be highly valued. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and technically complex environment. You will collaborate with team members and build cross-organization relationships to drive process simplification and enhance end-user satisfaction. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and remediating security issues, as well as a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cybersecurity across the organization. You will also be responsible for conducting security reviews and overseeing remediation projects, ensuring that the organization's cybersecurity posture remains robust and compliant with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise and support for security software, including operational aspects of the software.
  • Conduct and participate in evaluating application health and computer networks to identify, assess, and remediate security issues.
  • Provide subject matter expertise during the analysis and documentation of cybersecurity technical requirements, including hardware and software components, with the objective of standardizing security throughout the company's infrastructure.
  • Work with IT and cybersecurity teams across different domains to perform tests to detect and fix application and network vulnerabilities.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to application teams for the integration of applications into standard cybersecurity systems.
  • Write code that allows for communications between different layers of cybersecurity technology.
  • Interact with multiple departments system-wide and engage with staff and management at all levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Cybersecurity, or computer science.
  • Certification in one of the following areas within one year of entering the position: Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), HealthCare Information Security & Privacy Practitioner (HCISSP), CompTIA Security+, HIPAA Security, Information Security Technology Fundamentals, Internet Security, or ITAA Information Security Awareness.
  • Three years of experience in a healthcare environment or an equivalent combination of relevant education, technical, business, and healthcare experience.
  • General knowledge of information technology and healthcare.
  • Experience in small scale project planning and reporting either individually or in a team.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to communicate and interact across facilities and at various levels.
