About the position

The Cybersecurity Privileged Access Technical Analyst at Penn Medicine plays a crucial role in managing and engineering the Privileged Access Management (PAM) environment, primarily utilizing CyberArk. This position is integral to ensuring the security and operability of privileged accounts within the organization. The analyst will report directly to the Cybersecurity Privileged Access Manager and will be responsible for a variety of technical and operational tasks that are essential for maintaining the integrity of the CyberArk system. In this role, the analyst will serve as the 'Vault Admin', responsible for onboarding accounts into CyberArk as per the defined protocols of Penn Medicine. This includes resolving technical issues through thorough debugging, research, and investigation, ensuring that all operations align with the values, policies, and procedures of the organization. The analyst will also execute project tasks related to the PAM discipline, promoting the adoption of CyberArk across all Active Directory (AD) domains. A key aspect of this position involves understanding and gathering business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and designing solutions that meet both tactical and strategic objectives. The analyst will collaborate with various teams and partners to integrate CyberArk, expanding its use cases and features, thereby driving increased value for the business and reducing organizational risk. Additionally, the analyst will provide support to end users of the CyberArk application, ensuring they have the necessary resources and assistance to utilize the system effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as 'Vault Admin' to onboard accounts into CyberArk as defined by Penn Medicine.
  • Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
  • Perform duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure full operability of CyberArk application.
  • Execute project tasks related to the PAM discipline at Penn Medicine.
  • Champion and promote the adoption of CyberArk across all AD domains.
  • Understand and gather business requirements, translating them to technical requirements and designing solutions to meet tactical and strategic approaches.
  • Work with teams/partners to integrate CyberArk to expand use cases and features, driving increased value to the business and risk reduction to the organization.
  • Provide support over CyberArk to end users of the application.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Required).
  • 4+ years of IT and Cybersecurity experience (Required).
  • 1+ years of IAM cybersecurity experience (Required).
  • 1+ years of hands-on CyberArk experience (Required).
  • 2+ years of healthcare or related experience (Preferred).
  • Cert IS Security Professional (Preferred).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with engineering highly available technical solutions and ensuring uninterrupted 24x7 operation.
  • Desire to expand CyberArk from a tool and leverage it as part of a larger program.
  • Sense of urgency in implementing programs and evaluating priorities; decisive, action-oriented, and practical.
  • Demonstrated experience in executing complex IT projects with significant enterprise change management requirements.
