About the position

The Senior Cybersecurity Professional at WarCollar Industries is a critical role focused on identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks across various systems, networks, and applications. This position requires extensive experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, along with strong leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will contribute to shaping the organization's cybersecurity strategy and mentor junior professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct in-depth penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on internal and external systems, applications, and networks.
  • Identify vulnerabilities, security flaws, and potential risks, providing detailed analysis and remediation strategies.
  • Produce comprehensive reports outlining security findings, including actionable recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement proactive security measures and solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging threats, security trends, and best practices to continually improve the organization's cybersecurity posture.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior cybersecurity professionals, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Lead and manage complex security projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Assist with compliance-related activities, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Certification in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, such as CompTIA PenTest+, GIAC Penetration Tester, CEH, or CPT.
  • At least 8 years of experience in conducting penetration testing and vulnerability assessments in diverse environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity tools and techniques used for vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and risk analysis.
  • Proven ability to lead security initiatives and manage complex projects.
