About the position

As a Cybersecurity Program Analyst at Booz Allen, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our nation's cybersecurity infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze and assess the policies that govern our cyber resilience, ensuring they align with regulations, best practices, and industry standards. You will lead the evaluation of your client's cyber policies, identifying coverage gaps and areas of risk. This involves guiding clients through the complexities of acceptable risk and availability, ultimately contributing to the development of a strategic cyber roadmap that enhances their security posture in an evolving IT landscape. In this consultative role, you will work closely with clients to ensure they operate securely while navigating the challenges posed by modern technology. Your expertise will be essential in drafting executive-level correspondence and technical documents that support decision-making processes. You will also facilitate meetings, including working groups and conferences, ensuring that all pre- and post-meeting activities are effectively managed. Your experience in the cybersecurity or information assurance field will be invaluable as you help clients understand and implement robust cybersecurity practices. This position requires a proactive approach to policy development and a deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, particularly within the Department of Defense (DoD). You will leverage your knowledge of NIST standards and Joint instructions to guide clients in enhancing their cybersecurity frameworks. Your ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively will be crucial in fostering collaboration and driving strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the assessment of client cyber policies and identify areas of risk.
  • Evaluate and audit policies against regulations, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Guide clients in understanding acceptable risk and availability.
  • Develop strategic cyber roadmaps to enhance client security posture.
  • Draft executive-level correspondence and technical documents for decision-making support.
  • Facilitate meetings, including working groups and conferences, managing all related activities.
  • Analyze the development of technical policies and strategies in the cybersecurity field.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in professional services, Federal government, or Federal consulting.
  • Experience with writing or drafting executive or formal senior-level correspondence.
  • Experience with technical writing at the organization-level, including technical strategies.
  • Experience in the cybersecurity or information assurance field.
  • Experience with facilitating meetings and associated activities.
  • Knowledge of the cybersecurity program in the DoD.
  • Top Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with supporting DoD-level organizations, including Action Officer duties.
  • Experience with analyzing information assurance and cybersecurity practices.
  • Knowledge of NIST 800 series publications.
  • Knowledge of Joint instructions and manuals.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possession of excellent organizational skills.
  • CISSP or CISM Certification.
