About the position

As a Cybersecurity Program Analyst, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our nation's cybersecurity infrastructure. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the assessment of cyber policies, ensuring they align with regulations, best practices, and industry standards. You will evaluate the coverage of these policies and identify areas of risk, guiding clients in understanding acceptable risk levels and availability. This consultative role will involve developing a strategic cyber roadmap that supports the client's operations in an evolving IT environment. Your expertise will be essential in analyzing policies that determine cyber resilience, and you will work closely with clients to ensure they operate securely while navigating complex cybersecurity challenges. In this position, you will leverage your extensive experience in professional services, particularly within the Federal government or Federal consulting. You will be responsible for drafting executive-level correspondence and materials that support decision-making processes. Your technical writing skills will be vital as you create organization-level documents, including technical strategies and policies. Additionally, you will facilitate meetings, working groups, and conferences, managing all associated pre- and post-meeting activities. Your knowledge of the Department of Defense's cybersecurity program will be instrumental in guiding clients effectively. This role requires a proactive approach to cybersecurity, where you will not only assess current policies but also contribute to the development of new strategies that enhance cyber resilience. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that the cybersecurity measures implemented are robust and effective, ultimately contributing to the security of critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the assessment of client cyber policies and their coverage.
  • Evaluate and audit policies against regulations, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Guide clients in understanding acceptable risk and availability.
  • Develop a strategic cyber roadmap for clients.
  • Facilitate meetings, working groups, and conferences related to cybersecurity policies.
  • Draft executive-level correspondence and materials to support decision-making.
  • Analyze the development of technical policies and strategies in cybersecurity.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in professional services, the Federal government, or Federal consulting.
  • Experience with writing or drafting executive or formal senior-level correspondence.
  • Experience with technical writing at the organization-level, including technical strategies and policies.
  • Experience in the cybersecurity or information assurance field.
  • Experience with facilitating meetings, including working groups and conferences.
  • Knowledge of the cybersecurity program in the DoD.
  • Top Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with supporting DoD-level organizations, including Action Officer duties.
  • Experience with analyzing the development of information assurance and cybersecurity practices.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and NIST 800 series publications.
  • Knowledge of Joint instructions and manuals.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possession of excellent organizational skills.
  • CISSP or CISM Certification.
