About the position

The Cybersecurity Risk Analyst, Mid role focuses on identifying and mitigating cyber risks for Navy programs. As an information security risk specialist, you will assess complex threats, develop actionable mitigation plans, and communicate security concepts to clients. This position offers an opportunity to enhance your skills in cybersecurity, systems engineering, and data science while contributing to the protection of military cybersecurity posture.

Responsibilities

• Support Navy Risk Management Framework (RMF) execution and compliance testing.
• Assess cyber risks and develop mitigation plans for Navy programs.
• Translate security concepts for clients to aid in decision-making.
• Create presentations, whitepapers, and milestones for client deliverables.
• Integrate and build risk assessment and threat mapping tools.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with Navy RMF execution and related processes.
• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity compliance testing using standard tools.
• Experience with automation technologies and scripting.
• Familiarity with cloud-based software, virtualization, and IT security technologies.
• Experience in cyber hardening, vulnerability management, and assessment.
• Ability to work independently and lead client tasks from inception to completion.
• Secret clearance required.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• DoD 8140 Certification, including CompTIA Security+ Certification.

Nice-to-haves

• Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Ability to obtain Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) Certification within 6 months of hire.
• CISSP Certification.
• Vendor Technology Certification, including CCNA or Linux+ Certification.
