About the position

The Cybersecurity Risk Analyst, Senior role focuses on identifying and mitigating cyber risks for Navy programs. The position involves working closely with engineers and subject matter experts to assess the threat landscape and develop actionable plans to enhance cybersecurity measures. The analyst will translate complex security concepts into understandable terms for clients, guiding them in securing their mission-critical networks and systems. This role offers an opportunity to act as a subject matter expert in information security while expanding skills in cybersecurity tools, systems engineering, and data science.

Responsibilities

  • Support Navy Risk Management Framework (RMF) execution and compliance testing.
  • Assess cybersecurity risks and develop mitigation plans for Navy programs.
  • Collaborate with engineers and SMEs to gather technical, environmental, and personnel details.
  • Create presentations, whitepapers, and milestones to guide clients through risk management processes.
  • Translate security concepts for clients to facilitate informed decision-making regarding cybersecurity.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience supporting Navy RMF execution and related processes.
  • 4+ years of experience performing cybersecurity compliance testing using standard tools.
  • Experience with automation technologies such as Evaluate-STIG, eMASSter, scripting, or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based software technologies, virtualization, and IT security.
  • Experience with cyber hardening, vulnerability management, and associated tools.
  • Ability to integrate and build risk assessment and threat mapping tools.
  • Secret clearance required.
  • HS diploma or GED required.
  • DoD 8140 Certification, including CompTIA Security+ Certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field.
  • Ability to obtain Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) Certification within 6 months of hire date.
  • CISSP Certification.
  • Vendor technology Certification, including CCNA or Linux+ Certification.
