About the position

As a Cybersecurity Risk Analyst, you will play a crucial role in helping government agencies, particularly Navy programs, understand and mitigate cyber risks. Your expertise will be essential in breaking down complex cyber threats into actionable plans, ensuring that clients can secure their mission-critical networks and systems. This position offers an opportunity to actively engage in information security while enhancing your skills in cybersecurity tools, systems engineering, and data science.

Responsibilities

  • Support Navy Risk Management Framework (RMF) execution and develop mitigation plans.
  • Assess cyber risks by gathering technical, environmental, and personnel details from stakeholders and engineers.
  • Translate security concepts for clients to facilitate informed decision-making regarding cybersecurity measures.
  • Guide clients through the development of Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M).
  • Perform cybersecurity compliance testing using standard tools and methodologies.
  • Devise and execute Security Assessment Plans (SAP) in accordance with Navy Security Control Assessor (SCA) guidance.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with Navy Risk Management Framework (RMF) execution and related processes.
  • 2+ years of experience performing cybersecurity compliance testing using tools like ACAS and STIG.
  • Experience with IT technologies, networking, and Linux.
  • Experience in cyber hardening, vulnerability management, and associated tools.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate complex technical challenges to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • DoD 8140 Certification, including CompTIA Security+.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to brief senior leadership on complex cybersecurity issues.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • CISSP Certification.
  • Vendor Technology Certification, such as CCNA or Linux+.
  • Ability to obtain Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) Certification within 6 months of hire.
