About the position

Erias Ventures is seeking a Senior Engineer to manage essential infrastructure services, ensuring high availability and performance of data center services, both physical and virtual. This role involves leading medium-to-large scale projects, designing and implementing system policies, conducting advanced troubleshooting, and playing a key role in recovery efforts during critical system failures. The position also includes mentoring junior staff and requires the ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team to complete projects on time.

Responsibilities

• Manage essential infrastructure services to ensure high availability and performance of data center services.
• Lead medium-to-large scale projects and design system policies.
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting and recovery efforts during critical system failures.
• Mentor junior staff members and provide guidance on technical issues.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time.

Requirements

• Current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or 5 additional years of relevant experience).
• 15+ years of experience in a system administration or similar role.
• Experience with Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Familiarity with Linux Server Administration.
• Familiarity with VMware/ESXi, VMware Virtual Networking, and VMware vCenter Networking.
• Experience in Switching and Router Management.
• Storage Management experience (NetApp).
• Hardware and Operating System troubleshooting skills.
• System hardening and Security Compliance Scanning (Nessus, ACAS).
• Understanding of project design within the scope of security (RMF) requirements.
• Demonstrated cyber/IT related experience with attention to detail, customer service, oral and written communication, and problem solving.
• Active DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g. CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP).
