The Solutions Consultant role is a pivotal evolution of the traditional Sales Engineering position, designed to align our services with the needs of our customers. As a Solutions Consultant, you will provide technical leadership and expertise, guiding customers through their security transformation journey. This role is essential in defining technical solutions that secure key business imperatives and ensuring that customers realize the value of their investment in Palo Alto Networks. In this position, you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales quotas by developing and implementing strategic technical account plans that target cross-platform solutions. You will conduct discovery sessions to understand and articulate the key technical, operational, and commercial imperatives of your prospects and customers. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Specialist teams to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of solutions. Your strong communication skills will be vital as you influence stakeholders through effective presentations, customer-specific demos, technical engagements, and workshops. Your impact will be defined by your ability to lead successful technical validation efforts based on best practices, orchestrate supporting resources to demonstrate a cohesive strategy, and promote end-to-end solutions that include PANW and/or partner professional services. You will also need to understand the competitive landscape to effectively differentiate our leadership in the market. Continuous self-investment in developing your technical and professional skills is expected, as is active participation within the Solutions Consultant community and at industry events. Building relationships with key technical stakeholders will be crucial in driving a security architecture transformation roadmap for our customers.
