About the position

The Cybersecurity Specialist at American Rheinmetall Vehicles is responsible for conducting cybersecurity vulnerability assessments, designing and integrating complex military combat vehicle systems, and ensuring the security of hardware and software components. This role supports critical advancements in the U.S. defense industry, particularly in relation to the XM30 Infantry Combat Vehicle program, and requires a strong background in cybersecurity and relevant technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cybersecurity vulnerability assessments.
  • Develop vehicle cybersecurity architecture.
  • Research and analyze solution strategies to meet customer requirements.
  • Integrate military lethality, survivability, and C5ISR systems.
  • Support prototype development and testing.
  • Perform analytical analysis and simulations to evaluate system performance.
  • Assist with project management and maintain project open issues lists.
  • Support concurrent engineering and prototype build/integration activities.
  • Monitor and analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and perform corrective actions.
  • Interact with external customers and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Information Assurance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Familiarity with Cyber Survivability Endorsement Implementation Guide V2.0.
  • Applied working knowledge of methods and procedures that protect data and information systems.
  • Ability to analyze, reason, problem solve, plan, and organize effectively.
  • Practical hands-on attitude with the ability to operate independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff.

Nice-to-haves

  • Cybersecurity Certifications (e.g., Sec+, CASP, CISSP).
  • Experience with VICTORY, FACE, GCIA & MOSA standards.
  • Experience with large complex U.S. Defense programs.
