About the position

The Cybersecurity Support Analyst position at MTNT involves leading and managing cybersecurity initiatives to protect against cyber threats. The role requires strict compliance with security standards and collaboration with IT teams to enhance cybersecurity strategies. The analyst will oversee software updates and security patches, ensuring system integrity while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of network and security protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage cybersecurity initiatives to effectively counteract and defend against cyber threats.
  • Strictly comply with and enforce standards set by Information Assurance and Security Technical Implementation Guides.
  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of software updates and security patches, ensuring system integrity.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of various network and security protocols.
  • Actively collaborate with IT teams to develop and strengthen cybersecurity strategies and practices.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, preferably in a government or military setting.
  • Proficiency in network and security protocols, with an ability to analyze and resolve complex security issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Required Certifications: Windows Computing Environment (CE) or Operating Systems (OS) are Windows 10, or Microsoft Modern Desktop, or a future version of these CE/OS.
  • Security+ or higher certification is required.
  • Secret security clearance and a favorable Tier 3 (T3) Investigation is essential.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
  • Extensive experience reading vulnerability reports from ACAS and Tychon, reading and analyzing CTOs and CVEs and actioning patching or other remediations from them.
  • 2 or more years experience with installing patches, upgrading software and remediating cybersecurity.
  • Extensive experience with remote takeover tools.
  • Solid knowledge of the use of Command Line Interface/PowerShell/PowerShell ISE.
  • Must have excellent analytical, troubleshooting and research skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and meet all Service Level Agreements, Performance of Work Statement requirements and cycle time requirements with little to no additional support.

Nice-to-haves

  • ACAS 5.3 or higher certification
  • Experience running Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Scans
  • Familiarity with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and remediation of devices to make them compliant with same.
  • Proven, advanced PowerShell scripting ability
  • Experience with network/system accreditation
  • 2 or more years with desktop/laptop support
