The Cybersecurity Systems Engineering Analyst position at a Fortune 150 Energy company focuses on optimizing and maintaining enterprise cybersecurity systems. This role is integral to projects aimed at enhancing the company's cybersecurity posture and supporting carbon neutrality and energy initiatives. Responsibilities

• Optimize and maintain enterprise cybersecurity systems.
• Lead or participate in projects aimed at improving the cybersecurity posture of the enterprise.
• Analyze Splunk and Palo Alto logs to troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
• Collect and analyze packet captures for diagnostics.
• Assist other teams with the analysis of application problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related fields.
• 2+ years of experience in a security operations center, military information security, or systems administration relevant to IT.
• 6+ years of related SOC, firewall, network, military, and/or IT/Cybersecurity experience without a degree.
• Strong understanding of perimeter security controls including SSL/TLS decryption and certificate management.
• Ability to analyze network logs and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced TCP/IP knowledge.
• Experience analyzing and troubleshooting network traffic.
• Experience providing end-to-end network design or support.
• Current Cisco CCNP and CCDA credentials.
• Possession of multiple industry standard certifications such as SANS GIAC/GCIA/GCIH/GCFA, CISSP, CISA, CISM.
