About the position

The Cybersecurity Technical Professional role focuses on providing engineering design, technology upgrades, integration, operation, and maintenance of software, hardware, and applications within a DevSecOps pipeline infrastructure. This position supports the Joint Staff J7 and its training audiences, ensuring robust and efficient information communications while maintaining cybersecurity compliance. The candidate must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance and relevant certifications, with a strong background in systems administration and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering design, technology upgrades, integration, operation, and maintenance of the software, hardware, and applications within the distributed information DevSecOps pipeline infrastructure.
  • Support mission-related servers, workstations, data storage, backup/recovery, software applications, hardware platforms, and operating systems.
  • Enable a scalable, secure, containerized, and adaptable infrastructure using Agile methodologies focused on integrating development, security, and operations (DevSecOps).
  • Maintain Cybersecurity compliance by updating, patching, and monitoring in accordance with Joint Staff and DoD policies.
  • Provide installation, configuration changes, updates, and operation and maintenance of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
  • Administer Microsoft Exchange systems and maintain, restore, archive, duplicate, troubleshoot, and upgrade Exchange databases.
  • Administer Microsoft SharePoint 2016 (or later) systems and provide Tier III support for site transfers and migrations.
  • Implement cybersecurity compliance of joint C2 systems by tracking, applying, and validating Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) configuration changes.
  • Assess and test interoperability of M&S software and applications with C2 and network components.
  • Participate in technical working groups to analyze and determine operational parameters for modeling and simulation architecture.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (Minimum)
  • High School Diploma (Minimum)
  • Current DoDD-8140/8570 certification (Required)
  • Five plus (5+) years of recent experience with systems administration, virtualization, cybersecurity, and IA/RMF.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Nice-to-haves

  • Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Experience working with the Joint Staff (JS) and COCOMs.
  • Experience with Command and Control (C2) system administration and engineering.
