About the position

The Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence (CTI) Analyst is responsible for understanding and analyzing cyber threats, including espionage, hacktivism, cybercrime, and malware, particularly in relation to the energy industry. This role involves producing various threat intelligence reports for stakeholders at all levels, from C-Level executives to technical incident response teams, and requires collaboration with the Threat Intelligence team to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage the threat intelligence lifecycle and priority intelligence requirements to track threat actors and research cyber threats.
  • Conduct analysis and create threat intelligence reporting to support internal customers of the Cyber Intelligence Centre.
  • Produce intelligence reporting for both technical audiences and executive levels.
  • Analyze external technical and non-technical data from various intelligence sources to build threat actor profiles.
  • Research new and emerging vulnerabilities, tactics, techniques, and procedures of threat actors.
  • Conduct threat hunting within the company's environment for related activities.
  • Collaborate with the Threat Intelligence team on emerging threats and cyber threat actor activities.
  • Prepare and deliver intelligence briefs to various audiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in cyber threat intelligence or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, communications, or a related field with relevant work experience.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA and GIAC are a plus.
  • Mature understanding of the threat landscape in the energy industry.
  • Experience supporting incident response, vulnerability management, and risk management teams.
  • Skilled in critical thinking and reasoning to synthesize multiple sources of information.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for quick turnaround of concise material.
  • Ability to research using Kusto Query Language, Splunk indexes, or similar tools.
  • Ability to start and complete projects.
  • Ability to apply artificial intelligence tools, such as Microsoft CoPilot, to work.
