About the position

The Cybersecurity Tools Analyst at Argo Cyber Systems is responsible for applying advanced technologies to design, develop, evaluate, and integrate computer information systems and networks to ensure system security. This role involves working with commercial vendors to assess secure applications and technologies, providing security engineering services, and addressing a variety of security issues including secure architectures and data protection. The analyst will also be tasked with developing security systems and preparing security reports while ensuring compliance with security clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Apply current technologies to design, develop, evaluate, and integrate computer information systems and networks for security.
• Provide security engineering and integration services to internal customers.
• Address issues related to secure architectures, electronic data traffic, network security, and information privacy.
• Utilize encryption technology, conduct penetration testing, and perform risk management and vulnerability analysis.
• Develop security systems for manual or automated environments and ensure data protection against unauthorized access or loss.
• Prepare security reports as needed.

Requirements

• Must have DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to convey system risks and vulnerabilities to various technical levels.
• Experience with network protection devices such as firewalls and IDS/IPS.
• Familiarity with Information Assurance Tools and their operation and maintenance.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Windows Platforms.

Nice-to-haves

• Past experience on a SOC/CIRT Watch Team.
• Experience with large data set analysis.
• Understanding and utilization of SPLUNK.
• Experience with HBSS/McAfee ePO for risk assessments.
• Familiarity with tools like Firepower, Netwitness, Imperva, Metasploit Pro, Nexpose, Nessus, and Red Seal.
