About the position

The Cybersecurity Tools Analyst at Argo Cyber Systems is responsible for applying advanced technologies to design, develop, evaluate, and integrate computer information systems and networks to ensure system security. This role involves working with commercial vendors to assess secure applications and technologies, providing security engineering services, and addressing a variety of security issues including network security and information privacy. The analyst will also develop security systems, protect company data, and prepare security reports, all while maintaining compliance with security clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Apply current technologies to design, develop, evaluate, and integrate computer information systems and networks to maintain system security.
• Provide security engineering and integration services to internal customers.
• Address issues related to secure architectures, secure electronic data traffic, network security, information security, and privacy.
• Utilize encryption technology, penetration testing, risk management, and vulnerability analysis.
• Develop security systems for manual or automated environments.
• Ensure protection of company data against unauthorized disclosure, loss, or modification.
• Prepare security reports as needed.

Requirements

• Must have DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to convey system risks/assessments/vulnerabilities to various technical levels.
• Experience with network protection devices such as firewalls and IDS/IPS.
• Ability to modify IDS signature thresholds and suppressions based on activity.
• Experience with Information Assurance Tools including tuning, configuration, and maintenance.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Windows Platforms.

Nice-to-haves

• Past experience on a SOC/CIRT Watch Team.
• Experience in analyzing large data sets.
• Conduct Information Assurance Vulnerability scanning and assist in reconciling results.
• Understanding and utilization of SPLUNK.
• Experience with HBSS/McAfee ePO for risk assessments.
• Familiarity with Firepower, Netwitness, Imperva, Metasploit Pro, Nexpose, Nessus, and Red Seal.
