The Cycle Counter Warehouse Inventory position at Sysco Baraboo, LLC is a critical role within the supply chain and logistics sector, focusing on maintaining the integrity of inventory through systematic cycle counting. This finance-oriented position is responsible for performing cycle counts, compiling and maintaining records of the quantity, type, and value of materials, equipment, merchandise, and supplies stocked in the establishment. The role also involves researching root causes for count discrepancies, performing quality checks, and supporting the product recall process. The ideal candidate will work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, ensuring that the business needs are met effectively. In this role, the Cycle Counter will ensure the accuracy of the physical count of in-house inventory through cycle counting and other assigned duties. Responsibilities include conducting a minimum of four cycle counts per year, addressing discrepancies, and ensuring product and packaging integrity. The Cycle Counter will also perform quality checks on date-sensitive, slow-moving, and obsolete items, collaborating with the merchandising team to recoup items as necessary. Additionally, the position requires researching causes of weight variances and issues related to receiving, put-away, and damaged products, as well as confirming that reserves are accurately recorded and counted. The Cycle Counter will also verify the put-away and transfer processes executed by both day and night personnel, initiate and document product transfers from the cooler to the freezer, and review standard management reports to investigate causes of inventory shrink. Coordination of will-call orders when scheduled is also part of the responsibilities. This position is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency of the warehouse and ensuring that inventory records are accurate and up-to-date.
