About the position
The Highway Maintenance Foreman / Transportation Specialist 1 is responsible for overseeing highway maintenance operations within a designated area. This role involves managing a team, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the efficient operation of transportation infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate highway maintenance activities.
- Manage a team of maintenance workers and ensure effective performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Plan and schedule maintenance work to minimize disruption to traffic.
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Conduct inspections of highway conditions and report issues.

Requirements
