Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various treatment procedures.
- Welcome patients and parents to the clinic area.
- Perform routine dental cleanings and take dental radiographs.
- Educate parents and patients on oral hygiene strategies.
- Maintain adequate supplies and assist with inventory control.
- Complete treatment consents and review treatment plans with patients.
- Monitor nitrous oxide during procedures.
- Support the LDA with marketing initiatives and community dental health education activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment according to OSHA standards.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED certificate.
- Successful completion of a dental assistant program as per state guidelines.
- Dental x-ray certification.
- Coronal Polishing Certification.
