Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions.
• Greets customers in a friendly manner and makes an effort to learn their names.
• Assists customers by escorting them to products, loading or unloading heavy items, and addressing customer suggestions or requests.
• Answers the telephone promptly and provides helpful service to customers who call.
• Rotates and replenishes merchandise to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
• Unloads trucks and places products in appropriate storage areas.
• Maintains cleanliness in the department, including cleaning cases and sweeping floors.
• Builds end cap displays and fills them as necessary throughout the week.
• Orders products and supplies as requested by the department manager.
• Ensures the storage area is organized and the floor is safe and clean.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Less than high school or equivalent experience and six months or less of similar or related experience.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
• Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction, and record figures accurately.
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.
