Responsibilities

  • Manage dining room and kitchen functions to ensure an excellent fan experience.
  • Develop the restaurant's business plan in collaboration with the owner.
  • Manage restaurant profit and loss to optimize sales and profit.
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop the store management team and hourly crew members.
  • Ensure compliance with Dairy Queen brand standards, including inventory and cash controls.
  • Create and maintain a positive, safe, clean, and inviting environment for fans and team members.
  • Role model and enforce safe food handling practices as a top priority.
  • Implement local, regional, and national marketing promotions to attract new fans and increase sales.
  • Calmly resolve fan concerns and adhere to Dairy Queen's service recovery standards.
  • Exhibit a genuine passion for excellence in all aspects of performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in quick service restaurants.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong hospitality and customer service skills.
  • Proven track record of managing cost of goods sold (COGS) and labor effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of safe food handling practices; must be ServSafe certifiable.
  • Excellent coaching and employee development skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Comfortable standing for entire shifts and able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of overseeing multiple areas in a fast-paced environment.
