About the position

The Store Manager at Dairy Queen is responsible for overseeing all restaurant operations, ensuring financial performance, product quality, and customer satisfaction. The role involves building a strong team, managing inventory, and implementing marketing strategies to enhance customer engagement and sales. The manager will also ensure compliance with health and safety standards while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee entire restaurant operations including financial performance, product production, inventory, personnel, sales, and marketing.
  • Strive for operational levels that meet or exceed customer expectations in quality, service, and atmosphere.
  • Ensure all management and crew members are trained on PRIDE systems, product recipes, and food safety practices.
  • Manage restaurant profit & loss, analyze COGS, and maintain inventory while projecting demand changes.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and budgets, and review financial reports for variances.
  • Ensure customer service meets or exceeds company standards and handle customer complaints effectively.
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop the store management team and crew members.
  • Conduct employee performance appraisals and monitor job contributions.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy facility environment by enforcing sanitation standards and complying with regulations.
  • Work with the franchise corporate marketing team to develop local marketing promotions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-3 years of restaurant management experience with responsibility for profit and loss.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • ServSafe certified or approved equivalent.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing COGS and labor.

  • Experience in quick service restaurant management.
  • Strong hospitality and customer service skills.
