About the position
The Branch Manager at Wurtec Inc. is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to drive operational and sales goals at the branch. This role involves collaborating with the Director of Sales and Marketing to set goals, budgets, and processes for efficient branch operations, while promoting the company's core values and ensuring excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Promote and demonstrate Wurtec's core values.
- Lead and manage the department to produce optimal output.
- Develop and execute the sales plan to grow sales dollar volume annually.
- Assist with the sales launch of new products.
- Monitor customer, market, and competition activity to provide feedback to senior leadership.
- Cultivate customer relationships through excellent customer service.
- Increase customer awareness and distribute products via marketing ideas and sales efforts.
- Assist customers with quoting, returns, product availability, and sales order processing.
- Maintain and communicate regular measurements to ensure progress to revenue and service targets.
- Assist in annual budget planning and monitor branch expenditures.
- Manage a team that handles inventory activities including receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping.
- Leverage sales resources to achieve company sales margins and quotas.
- Assist with branch audits and physical inventory.
- Coordinate all material recertification and manage tooling rental program.
- Operate a forklift and cutline machine when necessary.
- Ensure the branch operates ethically and maintains a positive community reputation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or proven track record.
- 3+ years of leadership and management experience.
- Strong computer skills, data entry, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Forklift experience.
- Excellent customer service experience.

- Experience with Wurtec ERP, Epicor.
