About the position

The Team Lead at Dalton Family Eyecare plays a crucial role in supporting the practice management team to ensure premium eyecare experiences for every patient. This position is responsible for leading various optical and lab processes, maintaining patient flow, and ensuring high-quality patient care, thereby establishing the practice as the premier destination for vision needs in the community.

Responsibilities

• Supports all primary care functions within the practice, including leading patient and customer flow.
• Leads eyecare advisors and sales associates, participating in pre-exam activities and selling products.
• Demonstrates superior product and process knowledge to enhance patient care.
• Conveys a commitment to providing unsurpassed patient care to every patient, every time.
• Leads peers through difficult or complex tasks, anticipating problems and developing long-term solutions.
• Supports practice management team in delivering key performance indicators.
• Acts as a catalyst for change within the practice, supporting company initiatives.
• Ensures all company-approved safety programs are implemented and maintained.
• Works weekends and evenings as needed to support business needs.
• Adheres to attendance and daily time keeping requirements.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Strong customer service and retail experience, preferably in optical and patient experience.
• Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise or ability to master in a short timeframe.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Familiarity with technology, such as point-of-sale and patient record systems.

Nice-to-haves

• ABO certification
• 1+ year supervisory experience, preferably in an eyecare environment
• Customer/Patient care experience
