About the position
Five Star Dance Studios is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Full-Time and Part-Time Ballroom Dance Instructors. We are dedicated to providing high-quality ballroom dance lessons, including popular styles such as Latin and Country Western dances. Our studios, located in Greenwood and Fishers, Indiana, have been offering professional dance instruction for over 45 years, and we are excited to continue this tradition with new instructors who share our passion for dance. No prior experience is necessary, as we provide comprehensive training and certification in professional dance instruction at no cost to you. This is a unique opportunity to learn and teach in a fun and dynamic environment while advancing your career in dance. As a dance instructor, you will have the chance to engage with students of all skill levels, helping them to develop their dancing abilities and confidence. We offer flexible scheduling options, allowing you to work either part-time or full-time, with most part-time instructors working evenings from 6 PM to 10 PM at least three days a week. Full-time employees will work from 1 PM to 10 PM, Monday through Friday. Additionally, instructors will be required to work one Sunday per quarter for major events, which will take place in Carmel, IN. Reliable transportation to our studios is essential, and we encourage individuals with a criminal record to apply, as we believe in providing opportunities for all. Responsibilities
- Teach ballroom dance lessons to students of various skill levels.
- Provide a fun and engaging learning environment for students.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to improve teaching skills.
- Participate in major events and performances as required.
- Assist in curriculum development and lesson planning.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Fluent in English.
- No prior dance experience required; training will be provided.
- Ability to travel to either Fishers or Greenwood locations.
Nice-to-haves
- Background in dance or sales is helpful but not necessary.
- Experience in teaching or coaching is a plus.
