About the position

The DAS Summer/Fall Co-Op position at Skyworks offers a unique opportunity for university students to gain hands-on experience in RF Design Engineering. This 6-month co-op role focuses on the development of integrated circuits (ICs) and modules for WLAN applications, working closely with experienced mentors in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and debug RF FEMs with power amplifier, LNA, switch, and filter content in the 2-7 GHz frequency band.
• Work with various technologies including SOI, HBT & MCM to implement RF circuitry for wireless product offerings.
• Support RF test evaluation of RFICs and multichip modules.
• Assist full-time engineering group members with their project assignments.
• Complete a small die/package level design project.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a BS, MS, or Ph.D. academic program (Electrical Engineering or related).
• Successful completion of graduate courses with design projects related to RF PA and/or LNA design.
• Strong background in RF and Microwave design.
• Knowledge of electronic circuits and principles.
• Familiarity with design tools like ADS, Cadence, HFSS, etc.
• Working experience with RF test equipment (e.g., Signal Generators, Network Analyzer, RF Spectrum Analyzer, etc.).
