About the position

The Dashboard Engineer at Pedernales Electric Cooperative is responsible for creating visual representations of data to enhance understanding and analysis of complex information. This role involves utilizing QlikSense for dashboard design and development, working with various data sets, and ensuring optimal performance of data visualizations. The position requires collaboration with users to provide effective Qlik solutions and maintain technical documentation, while also staying updated on technological advancements.

Responsibilities

• Use QlikSense for design, architecture, development, and deployment of dashboards.
• Create data models, reports, dashboards methods using Qlik.
• Use best practices for data visualization creation and design.
• Work with data sets in Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, and Snowflake to create Qlik dashboards, automations, alerts, and reports.
• Create data sets using Geo Analytics from geo json/polygons from PEC's GIS system.
• Provide users with efficient Qlik solutions and effective communication regarding those solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Develop advanced analytics products using SQL, Python, and/or JavaScript.
• Tune data sets and dashboards for optimal performance in Qlik.
• Administer Qlik platform, perform platform engineering, dashboard release management, reliability engineering, health checks and alerting.
• Maintain the security of confidential information.
• Stay abreast of advances in technology.
• Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance.
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in a related technical field.
• Four years of experience working with Qlik Sense or similar BI tools.
• Two years experience with programming in Python and JavaScript.
• Experience with public cloud platforms like Azure preferred.
