About the position

The Data Administrator & Analyst position at Caron involves managing the donor and constituent database, ensuring data integrity, and producing various fundraising reports. This role is crucial for supporting the organization's fundraising efforts through effective data management and analysis, as well as training staff on database usage.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the donor and constituent database, including coding, policies, and reporting standards.
  • Import patient and family demographic information from EMR into the database for all Caron facilities.
  • Analyze data and produce monthly, quarterly, and year-end fundraising reports; create customized reports as needed.
  • Act as a liaison with Caron's Finance department to ensure accuracy of all fundraising reports.
  • Maintain data integrity by establishing regular system checks and implementing global changes to the system.
  • Evaluate and develop procedures to improve gift management and related processes for effective fundraising functions.
  • Coordinate and conduct staff training for the donor and constituent database system; determine internal user options.
  • Act as a liaison with Caron's IMS department regarding database activity, including system upgrades and module additions.
  • Produce final mail lists for direct mail appeals, email blasts, and events for all Caron facilities.
  • Update database with new staff, promotions, transfers, and last day of work notifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5-7 years of equivalent experience in non-profit fundraising required.
  • 5+ years of experience using fundraising database software required, preferably Raiser's Edge.
  • 1-2 years of solid project management experience preferred.
  • If in recovery, one-year continuous sobriety preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with technical support providers, development staff, and end-users.
  • Ability to lead group and individual education sessions.
  • Excellent grammar and proofreading skills.
