About the position

The Data Administrator role is a full-time position focused on managing and analyzing data to support energy efficiency and related programs. The position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in SQL and data management tools, and the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively. The role involves collaboration with various departments and may require out-of-town travel for training and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate and organized data warehouses for analysis related to energy efficiency, demand response, and distributed energy resources.
• Develop procedures and scripts for data migration.
• Collaborate with executive staff, colleagues, developers, and department supervisors/managers to design high-quality analytics solutions.
• Establish benchmarks and evaluate the performance of energy programs, assessing key metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
• Perform data mining using various software tools to generate regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
• Assist in financial analysis related to energy projects, including cost-benefit analysis and budget tracking.
• Communicate effectively with various departments to build reports and dashboards.
• Effectively communicate ideas, solutions, and results to peers, executive staff, and board of directors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a business or technology related field such as Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Minimum of five years of demonstrated work experience in data analytics with a solid command of SQL, SQL Server tools, and PowerBI.
• Five years or greater of professional experience with project management, business operation analysis, data mining, and/or business process management is highly desired.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to persuade, inform, and influence others based on findings.
• Ability to communicate complex results in an easily understood way.
• Detailed knowledge of data storage and organization in various business systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Outage Management systems (OMS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Customer Information Systems (CIS), and Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS).
• Experience in financial analysis related to energy projects.
