American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) is seeking a Data Advanced Insight Analyst to join our Analytics team in Chicago. This role is pivotal in leveraging advanced analytical techniques to support business teams and influence key decisions through data-driven insights. As the world's largest global B2B travel tech and services platform, Amex GBT is committed to delivering exceptional technology and data-driven experiences to over 20,000 businesses across 140 countries. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of projects, including analyzing user behavior, identifying customer pain points, and developing new tools to enhance user experience in collaboration with Product teams. In this role, you will be responsible for passionate storytelling through data, leading strategic analyses to support growth, and implementing improvements in Adobe Analytics tagging across various solutions. You will design and build models to prioritize critical touchpoints along the customer journey, ensuring effective communication with partners and senior leaders. Additionally, you will maintain and enrich existing reports and dashboards to visualize data insights, support operational reporting needs, and drive operational improvements. Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic and quantitative analysis to support and enable continued growth.
  • Implement and improve Adobe Analytics tagging on different solutions (Egencia, Neo, etc.).
  • Design and build models to prioritize and classify critical touchpoints along the customer journey.
  • Influence partners and senior leaders by communicating across various levels of the organization.
  • Maintain, consolidate, and enrich current reports/dashboards to visualize data analysis and insights.
  • Support ongoing needs for analytical/operational reporting and day-to-day needs impacting Product Teams.
  • Support data migrations, updating links, and consolidating existing reports.
  • Identify, prioritize, and drive operational improvements.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of work experience in a relevant business environment.
  • Relevant Master's degree in fields such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, or physical sciences with a strong understanding of data analytics.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and script creation.
  • Experience with Python/R for data analysis.
  • Proven experience with Web Analytics tools and tagging, particularly Adobe Analytics/Omniture.
  • Experience using Data Visualization tools like Tableau to develop and publish automated reports and dashboards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to find patterns and insights within structured and unstructured data.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and data presentation skills.
