About the position

The Data Analyst at CBIZ serves as a crucial link between business users and the technical team, focusing on enhancing IT capabilities to address business challenges. This role involves building trusted relationships with business partners, understanding their processes, and ensuring effective communication between technical and business resources. The ideal candidate will have expertise in requirements elicitation, documentation, and project management methodologies, with a strong emphasis on delivering IT projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of detailed system requirements for development activities such as new reports and system integrations.
  • Participate in evaluations, selections, training, and implementations of new system software.
  • Lead business process mapping sessions and produce detailed process maps.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and business process owners to understand desired business processes.
  • Validate technical solutions and deliver documented requirements through QA testing activities.
  • Act as the primary liaison to the Solution Architect and vendor for project support and maintenance work.
  • Coordinate upgrades and patching with the Product Owner.
  • Serve as a deputy IT project manager for light to moderate projects.
  • Ensure thorough QA and regression testing for upgrades and patching.
  • Lead the creation of test scripts and organize UAT testing strategy and activities.
  • Report on UAT status and support resolution of UAT issues.
  • Analyze and resolve escalated support tickets.
  • Gain knowledge of implemented systems and become a functional expert.
  • Create documentation to assist with technical support.
  • Provide technical support on software migration and conversion projects.
  • Streamline and enhance business processes using low-code/no-code automation tools.

Requirements

  • Expertise in requirements elicitation techniques and documentation.
  • Strong relationship management skills and ability to set expectations.
  • Experience collaborating with IT and business resources.
  • Proficiency in delivery methodologies such as waterfall and agile.
  • Significant experience with ALM tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in business process mapping and documentation.
  • Familiarity with QA testing methodologies and practices.
  • Knowledge of low-code/no-code automation tools.
