Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG) is seeking a Data Analyst 2 to join our team in Lansing, Michigan. The Data Analyst 2 will play a crucial role in implementing methodologies, research questions, evaluations, and analysis plans, demonstrating progressive growth in understanding and leadership of quantitative analyses. In this position, the Data Analyst will conduct both simple and complex quantitative analyses using various software tools, including SQL, R, and SPSS. The role requires the ability to visualize, interpret, report, and communicate data findings creatively. The analyst will also be responsible for developing and maintaining local databases, mapping, and conducting analysis on source data files of varied formats. Providing technical assistance and conducting training in the use of data collection tools will be essential, as well as assisting in the design, implementation, and monitoring of quality assurance procedures for all analyses. The Data Analyst 2 will provide guidance, oversight, and development assistance to less senior staff, facilitating the implementation of research projects and ensuring quality and timely completion. The role supports the evaluation team in preparing data requests to access administrative datasets and aids the decision-making process of internal teams by building results that present insightful data summaries and clear support for conclusions and recommendations. Compiling results and preparing reports, presentations, and other documentation of outcomes will be a key responsibility, showcasing consistent growth and independence in complexity and quality of work. The analyst will also facilitate discussions with client stakeholders, interpreting findings, developing reports, and disseminating results, while developing competency in federal and state policy and understanding the service delivery system for programs administered by states and monitored by federal regulators.
