Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG) is seeking a Data Analyst 2 to join our team in Frankfort, Kentucky. The Data Analyst 2 will play a crucial role in implementing methodologies, research questions, evaluations, and analysis plans, demonstrating progressive growth in understanding and leadership of quantitative analyses. In this position, the Data Analyst 2 will conduct both simple and complex quantitative analyses using various software tools, including SQL, R, and SPSS. The role requires the ability to visualize, interpret, report, and communicate data findings creatively. The analyst will also be responsible for developing and maintaining local databases, mapping, and conducting analysis on source data files of varied formats. Providing technical assistance and conducting training in the use of data collection tools will be essential, as well as assisting in the design, implementation, and monitoring of quality assurance procedures for all analyses. The Data Analyst 2 will provide guidance, oversight, and development assistance to less senior staff, facilitating the implementation of research projects and monitoring for quality and timely completion. Supporting the evaluation team in preparing data requests to access administrative datasets is also a key responsibility. The analyst will aid the decision-making process of internal teams by building results that present insightful data summaries and clear support for conclusions and recommendations. Compiling results and preparing reports, presentations, and other documentation of outcomes will be expected, showcasing consistent growth and independence in complexity and quality of work. Facilitating discussions with client stakeholders, including interpretation of findings, development of reports, and disseminating results, is a critical aspect of this role. The Data Analyst 2 will develop competency in federal and state policy and understand the service delivery system for programs administered by states and monitored by federal regulators. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Implements methodologies, research questions, evaluations and analysis plans.
  • Conducts simple and complex quantitative analyses using SQL, R, and SPSS, among other analysis and statistical software tools.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational, oral presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytic skills, including the ability to analyze and organize data and display in professional charts and graphs.
  • Ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously.
  • Proficiency in analytic software tools, including SQL, R and SPSS.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, in particular Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to interpret results and write complex reports.
  • 2 years of experience conducting evaluation and complex analyses.
  • 2 years of experience in conducting research or program evaluations of social services agencies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Tableau experience, preferred.
  • Master's Degree preferred in relevant field, Bachelor's Degree at a minimum.
