Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG) is seeking a Data Analyst 2 to join our team in Annapolis, Maryland. As a leading public sector solutions implementation and operations improvement firm, PCG partners with health, education, and human services agencies to improve lives. The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in implementing methodologies, research questions, evaluations, and analysis plans, demonstrating progressive growth in understanding and leadership of quantitative analyses. This position requires conducting both simple and complex quantitative analyses using various software tools, including SQL, R, and SPSS. The Data Analyst will be responsible for visualizing, interpreting, reporting, and creatively communicating data findings. This includes developing and maintaining local databases, mapping, and conducting analysis on source data files in varied formats. The role also involves providing technical assistance and conducting training in the use of data collection tools, as well as assisting in the design, implementation, and monitoring of quality assurance procedures for all analyses. The Data Analyst will provide guidance, oversight, and development assistance to less senior staff, facilitating the implementation of research projects and ensuring quality and timely completion. In addition, the Data Analyst will support the evaluation team in preparing data requests to access administrative datasets and aid the decision-making process of internal teams by building results that present insightful data summaries and clear support for conclusions and recommendations. Compiling results and preparing reports, presentations, and other documentation of outcomes is also a key responsibility, showcasing consistent growth and independence in complexity and quality of work. The Data Analyst will facilitate discussions with client stakeholders, interpreting findings, developing reports, and disseminating results. Furthermore, developing competency in federal and state policy and understanding the service delivery system for programs administered by states and monitored by federal regulators is essential. The Data Analyst may also assist with other responsibilities as necessary.
