About the position

Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta), formerly known as Facebook Inc., is seeking a Data Analyst for the CO Business Reporting & Analytics team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the monitoring and alerting systems for global support operations through the development of dashboards, ad-hoc data pulls, and regular business reviews. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional partners and internal tooling to ensure best-in-class operational support. The Data Analyst will leverage their expertise in quantitative business analysis and technical knowledge to present data effectively, identifying trends and opportunities that can help mitigate nefarious behavior on the platform. This involves partnering with Engineering, Analytics, and Operations teams to influence and execute strategies aimed at improving user experience by addressing sensitive content issues, including graphic images, offensive language, and other objectionable material. Additionally, the role requires working closely with Analytics and Data Engineering teams to identify and rectify gaps in logging and data infrastructure, ensuring that the data collected is comprehensive and actionable. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, adeptly managing multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality insights and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional partners and internal tooling to provide best-in-class monitoring and alerting for global support operations, by way of dashboards, ad-hoc data pulls, and regular business reviews.
  • Utilize expertise in quantitative business analysis to identify trends and opportunities in driving down nefarious behavior.
  • Partner with Engineering, Analytics, and Operations to influence and execute abuse fighting strategies to improve user experience.
  • Collaborate with Analytics and Data Engineering teams to identify and close gaps in logging and data infrastructure.
  • Address sensitive content issues at scale, including graphic images, videos, and offensive language.

Requirements

  • Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Management, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in an Analytics role involving strategy, problem solving, or technical systems.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (SQL, Tableau, etc.).
  • Strong analytical thinking skills, with the ability to break down complex problems using data and technology.
  • Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to solve ambiguous problems and think under pressure.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced, fast-changing environment, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
