About the position

As a Data Analyst specializing in Cybersecurity and System Integration, you will play a crucial role in supporting NAVSEA PMS 443 in Washington, DC. This position requires a mission-driven candidate with a CISSP certification and an active secret clearance. The role is hybrid, allowing for both remote and onsite work, and involves a commitment to cybersecurity data initiatives, Risk Management Framework (RMF) efforts, and sustainment data cyber activities. In your day-to-day responsibilities, you will integrate cybersecurity measures into afloat systems, support DevSecOps practices, and contribute to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) efforts. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you examine data from multiple disparate sources to provide new insights, design and implement custom algorithms, and develop processes for handling complex, enterprise-scale data sets used for modeling, data mining, and research purposes. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining dashboards and reports to effectively communicate your findings to stakeholders, ensuring that cybersecurity controls and updates are accurately reflected in RMF documentation. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work with cross-functional teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities, ensuring that cybersecurity requirements are incorporated into system designs and implementations. Your contributions will support the integration of security into the development lifecycle and ensure continuous monitoring and assessment, ultimately enhancing the cybersecurity posture of the systems you work on.

Responsibilities

  • Support cybersecurity data initiatives and Risk Management Framework (RMF) efforts.
  • Sustain data cyber activities and assist in the documentation and management of cybersecurity measures within RMF and eMASS frameworks.
  • Integrate cybersecurity measures on afloat systems and support DevSecOps practices.
  • Examine data from multiple disparate sources to provide new insights and design custom algorithms.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Design and implement custom algorithms and flow processes for handling large and complex data sets.
  • Develop data models and layouts to support data mining and research purposes.
  • Ensure that cybersecurity controls and updates are accurately reflected in RMF documentation.
  • Support sustainment data analysis to identify and address cybersecurity vulnerabilities in existing systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure that cybersecurity requirements are incorporated into system designs and implementations.
  • Contribute to MBSE efforts by developing and maintaining data models that support system engineering and cybersecurity integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of proven experience as a Data Analyst with a concentration in cybersecurity and system integration.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Certification CISSP.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or similar.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with RMF and eMASS frameworks.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and MBSE methodologies is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with complex datasets.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
