About the position

The Data Analyst, Cybersecurity and System Integration role at AMERICAN SYSTEMS involves supporting cybersecurity data initiatives and Risk Management Framework (RMF) efforts. The position requires a mission-driven candidate with a CISSP certification and an active secret clearance. This hybrid remote/onsite position focuses on integrating cybersecurity measures into afloat systems, developing data models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system security and data analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support cybersecurity data initiatives and RMF efforts.
  • Integrate cybersecurity measures on afloat systems and support DevSecOps practices.
  • Examine data from multiple sources to provide insights and develop custom algorithms.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for stakeholder communication.
  • Design and implement algorithms and processes for handling complex data sets.
  • Assist in documenting and managing cybersecurity measures within RMF and eMASS frameworks.
  • Ensure cybersecurity controls are accurately reflected in RMF documentation.
  • Support data analysis to identify and address cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Incorporate cybersecurity requirements into system designs and implementations.
  • Support DevSecOps practices by integrating security into the development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to MBSE efforts by developing data models for system engineering and cybersecurity integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of proven experience as a Data Analyst with a focus on cybersecurity and system integration.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Certification CISSP.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or similar.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with RMF and eMASS frameworks.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and MBSE methodologies is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with complex datasets.
  • Strong communication skills to present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
