About the position

We are seeking a Data Analyst with a strong background in data quality, metadata, and data lineage, ideally within data lake or data warehouse environments. The role focuses on ensuring data integrity and quality through in-depth analysis and collaboration with engineering teams, utilizing SQL and ETL tools to manage and improve data processes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to ensure data quality and integrity across data lakes and data warehouses.
  • Work on metadata management and data lineage processes, maintaining accuracy and completeness of data assets.
  • Develop and execute SQL queries for data profiling, quality analysis, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams on ETL processes to improve data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of data quality controls and monitoring.
  • Document data quality standards, data lineage, and metadata information to ensure data transparency.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to resolve data-related issues and support business data needs.

Requirements

  • 5-6 years of experience in data analysis, data quality, or metadata management.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and querying within data lake and data warehouse environments.
  • Experience in ETL tools (such as Informatica) and workflows for data processing.
  • Knowledge of data lineage, metadata management, and data quality best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with data governance tools like Collibra (if applicable).
  • Knowledge of data lake architectures and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience working with large, complex data sets in financial or related fields.
