About the position

The Data Analyst position within the Carbohydrate Solutions team is a full-time exempt-level role based in Decatur, IL, Quincy, IL, Oakbrook, IL, or Erlanger, KY. The primary responsibility of the Data Analyst will be to source and validate data necessary for effective global data management within the Carbohydrate Solutions business. This role is crucial for the design and development of reports and dashboards that will communicate consistent and reliable information to global management teams. The Data Analyst will work closely with the Carbohydrate Solutions FP&A team and will report directly to the Assistant Finance Director of Carbohydrate Solutions. In this role, the Data Analyst will gather business requirements for data, identify relevant data sources to support these requirements, and map data from source applications to common reporting structures. The position also involves documenting and validating data extracts, interfaces, and metric calculations. The Data Analyst will develop and maintain SQL database queries, design, develop, and validate business reports, visualizations, and dashboards, and manage data flows and reporting processes to ensure data accuracy. Additionally, the Data Analyst will be responsible for training and supporting FP&A team members and business users in utilizing reports and dashboards effectively. Other related duties or special projects may also be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Gather business requirements for data and identify relevant data sources to support these requirements.
  • Map data from source applications to common reporting structures.
  • Document and validate data extracts, interfaces, and metric calculations.
  • Develop and maintain SQL database queries.
  • Design, develop, and validate business reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
  • Manage data flows and reporting processes to ensure data accuracy.
  • Train and support FP&A team members and business users to use reports and dashboards.
  • Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field required.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Power Query, and advanced Excel is required.
  • Experience with SQL frameworks and script development is required.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and database design is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ADM business systems and data is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with OBIEE reporting capabilities is a plus.
