About the position

The Data Analyst I position at Digital Federal Credit Union (DCU) is designed to support business units by providing actionable insights through data analysis and reporting. The role involves translating complex data into understandable insights, creating and maintaining business intelligence reports, and ensuring data accuracy to inform decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze data in support of business cases and proposed projects.
  • Create and maintain business intelligence reports and delivery systems.
  • Proactively analyze data from various sources to inform decision-making.
  • Scrub data to ensure accuracy of reporting.
  • Quickly and accurately deliver applications and analysis.
  • Develop insights from data, review findings with business partners, and provide excellent customer service through clear communication and documentation.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Knowledge of relational database management systems.
  • Knowledge of advanced SQL, query optimization, and stored procedures.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau (preferred) and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Knowledge of analytical approaches and methods (reporting, modeling, optimization).
  • 0 - 2 years experience in a similar role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in a financial institution is preferred.
